Hello, I'm so glad you're here! I'm Maggie, the owner and primary speech language pathologist at Sweet Talkers!

I'm a passionate and fun-loving speech therapist, but I'm also a wife and new mom! In addition to my education and 5+ years of experience as a practicing speech language pathologist, my time as a mom has given me an even greater understanding of the therapy experience from a parent's perspective. 

A little bit of background information: I received my BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Dakota in May 2015. Go Sioux! Then, I moved out west and received my MS in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Montana in May 2017. Go Griz! I moved to South Carolina for a bit to complete an internship, and then ultimately moved back to Minnesota and got my first job as a licensed speech language pathologist at a private therapy center in Woodbury, MN. Since then, I have worked in various schools and private therapy clinics and have LOVED every second of it! I have learned so much about providing effective, fun, and engaging therapy to kiddos of all ages, and now I am so happy to apply that knowledge to my own private practice at Sweet Talkers! 

I currently hold a variety of licensures including my Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC's) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and my educational and medical Speech-Language Pathology licenses through the state of Minnesota. I have extensive experience with the birth-3 population, school aged kiddos, adolescents, and teens! I specialize in articulation and phonological disorders, but I also love working with expressive and receptive language disorders/delays, pragmatic language differences, and fluency disorders. I use a child-led therapy approach and provide a unique level of support and structure to meet each child's specific needs. I'm passionate about family education and will encourage you as the parent to be as involved as you would like to be, as I've learned this has a fantastic impact on your child's success! Therapy with me is fun, personalized, and effective! My goal is to give your child the tools he/she needs to implement their new skills into every day life.

Outside of therapy-life, my greatest joy is spending quality time with my husband and baby girl. I love being outdoors- hiking, traveling, skiing, boating, walking with friends, etc! I'm also working on perfecting the art of candle-making (a new hobby!), reading books, cooking delicious and healthy meals, and taking care of my plants.
